About Hexeis

Hexeis was founded in 2009 by Conrad van Rooyen to empower asset owners and managers through real understanding of their energy systems and consumption, to help reduce waste and expense. 

Working mainly in electrical O&M servicing, Conrad noticed a lack of analytical energy management tools across his client base.

Asset managers could often access raw consumption information and other data through metering. They received energy bills which gave some clues. But this information didn’t identify areas of wasteful overconsumption, or other ways to bring electricity bills under control.  

Conrad also observed clients scheduling major capital upgrades without understanding the true and efficient capacity of their existing assets.

He wondered whether smart, more efficient alternatives to expensive capital investment had been considered, such as finding more capacity in their systems through better operational efficiency.

From this reckoning, Conrad invested in research and development to develop and prove the value of Hexeis’ unique energy monitoring and saving systems.

Instead of more data, our clients receive clear reports explaining how their energy systems are performing. The reports provide practical, actionable items to improve efficiency, achieve savings, and meet sustainability goals.  

They have greater control over their power bills, and have been able to avoid, defer, and reduce their capital investment. This is the Hexeis ‘habits of excellence’ in action, now in practice with more than 60 clients across multiple sectors.
